My name is Eddie Hellewell. I'm a Product Design student at the University of Limerick. I created this website in hopes of displaying my work, interests and opinions regarding design.

My main hobbies include music, bird watching and cycling. Often enough bird watching and cycling coincide as getting to particular areas requires a green mode of transport, like the bicycle. My interest in music began as a child listening to rock and film scores in particular. It is still these two genres that I listen to to this day. I've played drums for my years, playing bodhrán for a drumming trio called "2nd Hand Drills". My hobbies define who I am and also are foundations to my work. Cycling provides a way of transport to my education, bird watching provides a clear link of inspiration from the natural world and music provides the focus that is ever so important in the perfection of design.

My work is based heavily on the natural world and the city that I was raised in; Limerick City. Limerick's wildlife and architecture offers a great inspirational base in regards to simplicity and striking features. It is these features that I try to emulate in my work.
